Kucheza, is short, sweet and right to the point. It covers several dances, presents all aspects of dance, song and purpose. It provides a short history and region for each dance described. The book is truly inspiring. Thank you for this publication. I love the portraits and colors of the cover hitting you up front & direct with energy and dance joy jumping off the page. Kucheza is a good introduction to West African Dance.

KUCHEZA is one of those books that draws a reader in. I can't tell whether it was the rich history or the skillful dance styles that Audrey Davis-Dunning provides you with, I cannot wait for the step-by-step dance video program!

Thank you, Audrey.  Recently, I bought your Kucheza course and took a look at the first few introductory lessons.  I was very impressed by their simplicity and clarity.  They are well organized into small segments, that are very easy to understand and follow.  Nothing difficult or overwhelming at all.  As an experienced educator myself, I see that you are an excellent teacher!  All the little things you seem to do almost unconsciously, are very effective.  Some examples are the sounds you make accompanying the rhythms and dance moves, and the regular repetition of instructions and directions.  The result is a very enjoyable and joyful experience!  Thank you!
